1. What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think, learn, and solve problems. AI systems can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognizing images, making decisions, and more.

2. How does AI differ from Machine Learning?

• AI is a broad field focused on creating intelligent machines.
• Machine Learning (ML) is a subset of AI that involves teaching computers to learn from data and improve their performance without being explicitly programmed for every task. Instead of hard-coding rules, ML systems find patterns in data and use them to make predictions or decisions.

3. How do Large Language Models like GPT work?

• Large language models, like GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), are a type of machine learning model trained on massive amounts of text data.
• They learn to predict the next word in a sentence based on the words that came before, enabling them to generate coherent and contextually relevant text.
• These models use a neural network architecture called the “transformer” which helps them understand the relationships between words in a sentence, even if those words are far apart.
• The model is “pre-trained” on a large dataset and can be “fine-tuned” for specific tasks like translation, summarization, or conversation.
